Here come the bumps and bruises....

So here come the bumps and bruises!!! Friday 5/28/10 When I came home from work, Philip had informed me our little girl can now push herself up from her tummy, to a sitting position. All memorial weekend long, miss Kendalynn did her best to perfect her new skills! On Sat. 5/29/10 we met with my friend Kellie who so happens to be an amazing photographer too! Philip and I took Kendie to wilderness park in Downey to get some pictures taken. We haven't had any professional pics since she was 3 months!! Kellie's amazing prices make it easy and affordable for us to get some great pics of Kendie as she grows! It was also wonderful to be able so see one of my long time friends from high school!! As a matter of fact, I can thank her for the blog idea, as she has a Daughter (who I've yet to meet) who is I believe about 2 months younger than Kendie, and her name is Gwen....so she has created an amazing blog for her daughter and their family which gave me the idea! (Thanks Kellie!) Philips brothers came out memorial weekend, just to visit and help out! They are a BIG help everytime they come out!! That kept Kendie and us all preoccupied the whole weekend! On Sun. 5/30/10 we all went to the beach with some friends, Kendie of course had a blast! She didn't try to eat the sand too much, but she didn't really like the water....it was too cold!! (Not like in Hawaii!!) On Monday, Philip and I were off because of memorial day, and luckily for me too because on Monday 5/31/10 Kendalynn pulled herself up on the outside if her walker...for the first time ever pulling herself up!

So now that she is pulling herself up, using whatever she can....here comes the bumps and bruises!!! Soo scarry...especially with hard wood floors!!

Soo much in one week!!

Ahhh.... sooo much has happened in one week! It is amazing how much one little human can learn in a matter of just days!! Everyday it is something new....and I mean EVERY day! Last friday 5/21/10 - when I got home from work, Philip informed me that my little angel, his little "sweet pea" had now learned to go from scooting on her stomach, to the sitting up position by getting up on her knee's! She still is not full-on crawling yet, but she scoots/army crawls everywhere....seems to be faster for her. She does experiment by getting up on all fours, and even this past weekend, looked like she was trying to stand up, by getting up on her hands and feet! (like a bridge position) Friday evening Kndalynn was also a little fussy (which is rare) and I just o happened to notice that she has two more teeth coming in....on the top! The first signs of teeth on the top. This makes her teeth count a grand total of 6 teeth currently and she is only almost 10 months! With her new little teeth she is exploring the fact that she can now chew on things....we started buying her the gerber graduates- the little crunchies, and wagon wheels. For the first time we gave her watermelon by itself, without her little meshgard thingy. She ate it all no problem!! Wednesday 5/26/10, Mema (my mom) she watches Kendalynn while Philip and I work, she called me to tell me that while she was putting the dishes into the diswasher she had the door of hte dishwasher down, and little Kendie was playing on the floor, and she scooted over to the door of the dishwasher and pulled herself up! On Tursday 5/27/10 I made spaghetti for dinner, and though Kendalynn has already eaten her dinner, she seemed hungry, so I cut some spaghetti up in little itty bitty pieces, and put a little bit of sauce on top of it, and fed it to her. She loved it!! I can't believe she is turning into a little bitty person! I looked at Philip as we ate, and almost cried! He looked at Kendalynn adn told her she is turning into a "big girl" now.... *sniffle sniffle*

5/18/10 Waving 'Hi" on the Phone with Mommy

5/18/10 -

So today, Kendalynn actually slept in late...by late I mean until 7am...lol. Since she got up late, I had already left to go to work. Philip gets to spend mornings with her until he goes to work around 8am, and so he called me while I was on my way to work, so I could say good morning to my babygirl! As he put me on speaker, I could hear Kendalynn "talking" to me... in her own special way of course! I said "good morning mamas!" like I normally do, and then I told her "Hi kendalynn"....and she started talking to me, cause she knew my voice. The best part was when I said "Hi" and "Bye" to her, Philip told me she had the phone in one hand and was waving to me....on the phone!! She is soo smart. Everyday it is something new, and we are completely loving every second of it!

5/17/10 - "Motor-boat"

So it's a bit late, but I figured now is a good time to start blogging, better than not at all anyways! I guess what I am trying to say is better late than never! (jeez I sound like my mom!)

Kendalynn gets bigger and bigger everday. Just last night Philip and I were sitting watching TV after putting Kendalynn to bed, and I remember saying "Gosh, I can't believe how big she is getting soo quick!" He agreed, and I added "everyday there seems to be something new she learns". This is soo true! Just last week, we had no problems feeding her baby food, then all of a sudden come the end of the week, little Kendie decided to excercise her "motor boat sound" skills that her Grandpa taught her in Hawaii! (By the way thanks Grandpa Phil...lol) All I have to say is "Motor Boat sounds" while eating baby food = one BIG mess, for one LITTLE baby girl! Of course she decided that the only time "motorboat" sounds are appropriate, are when she is eating! ;0)

To Digress....

Last Saturday 5/8/10 we successfully taught Kendalynn how to Wave "Hi" and "Bye" now she is a pro, and if you say 'Hi' or 'bye' she will wave at you. Last Friday, 5/14/10 I cried on my way to work cause it was the first time she actually waved bye to me, when I said bye while leaving for work. It melted my heart! I just wanted to stay home with her.....

This morning 5/17/10 Kendalynn woke up around 6:30am, and when Daddy (Philip) woke up and walked out the the living room, I was holding Kendalynn, and Philip walked out and said "Good Morning Sweet Pea!" and Kendalynn looked at her Daddy, Smiled, and waved "hi" to him. Philip and I looked at each other and got all excited!

Toward the end of April, when we were in Hawaii, Kendalynn learned how to say "Da-Da" she is currently still working on learning to say "ma-ma" which she sometimes confuses for "Na-na"....lol.

Gosh, I still cant' believe how much she grows in one day!! and to be able to notice these changes within her... ahh.... such a blessing!!!
